Goodbye Lovers. You have been amazing to me.
Hello to the unknown. The best is yet to come.

I love the flavor of lobster. But what I love the most about them is their theory.
"Discomfort leads to growth. The Lobster Theory teaches us that if we navigate adversity the right way, we are able to grow through adversity. What the lobster also teaches us is that risk is essential for growth, that every phase in our lives requires a new structure, and that periods of change are vulnerable times.
The lobsters must shed their old shell and grow a new one... meaning that discomfort is the stimulus that causes the lobster to shed their shell and grow a new one. Without discomfort, the lobster wouldn't be able to continue growing. Discomfort means that we are growing.
When the shell begins to inhibit the lobster's growth and development, the lobster has no choice but discard its old shell and grow a new one. It is the same with humans. In order to stay relevant, both for us and the people we lead, continuous learning is paramount." - Psychologist Jordan Peterson
Lovers Lane has been a beautiful place for me, my business and the community of Kasa Yoga Dallas for five and a half years. A community that was formed around the uniqueness of the concept and practice of yoga and meditation based on my studies in therapeutic yoga, learned and practiced, for the past 25 years of my life, which has been a continuing process of education, growth and evolution. A community that started with 15 members and has now more than 115. A Brazilian concept of approaching health and the aging process with nurture, gentleness, love, and coherence. Voted the best yoga studio in Dallas by Advocate Magazine in 2023, Kasa Yoga Dallas is making a difference in people's lives.
It's time now to shed the shell on Lovers. Unseen circumstances are inhibiting the brand Kasa Yoga by Christina™ and myself, as the Founder and Teacher, to grow and develop my vision created for the project in 2016. Almost six years later after I found this beautiful location, it's time to say goodbye to this building and space. I am welcoming the unknown. Another shell must be created. Same vision, same nurturing, same purpose. A different space, a different format, a better circumstance, a healthier environment.
I want to express that my community of members is everything that I have here at Kasa Yoga Dallas. Each of them have a little piece of my heart, a little piece of my dream to make our lives a better experience, the world a more peaceful place to live, and the aging process a beautiful flourishing time in life. Wherever I go, I want to keep them with me. We created a personal connection through yoga, and this connection is organic, real, and whole. It is, today, part of who we are as humans.
A special gratitude note to my Kasa team that stayed firm with me during this hardship year when I confronted widespread distortions of the truth, I am at peace with my decision of expanding, moving, changing, exploring new possibilities, and I want to give special note to: Kaylee Blubagh, Sameera Butt, Jodi Glass and Erika Gribbin. The four of you have given me support since I opened my doors in 2019, then in 2020 when the Pandemic came and the initial partnership was dissolved, and now with the unfortunate business circumstance. I am eternal grateful for your unconditional support, on my hardest days, and on my glory days.
Kasa Yoga Dallas will remain open with regular classes and events until December 31, 2024. A new teaching format and experience has been created by me and it will be announced soon.
For now, I want to invite all of you to live in the present moment and enjoy the daily practices at Kasa on Lovers, until the last day. Living with the unknown is a skill that we all should develop, and it's one of the main aspects of the practice: the unknown physical sensations are welcomed; the unknown mental perspectives are welcomed. This is LIFE, and the secret of a good life is to embrace the unknown with love, acceptance and joy.
Perhaps this is a sign of the time: first Microchip Cookies, then Cristina’s flowers, now Kasa Yoga Dallas. Lovers will miss the sweet, bright and peace of those three small businesses.
I am happy and excited for the upcoming years starting in 2025! Yoga and meditation classes will continue, workshops, retreats and special events with international guest teachers. This is not an end to our journey, but a better one to unfold.
With all my love, gratitude and joy for the past 6 years,
Christina
Founder & Teacher
